The Jujutsu Kaisen Culling Games is a tournament of death–one only the strong have a chance of surviving. This arc unleashes an influx of characters, old and new, declaring participation to earn a hundred points and kill their way to the top. The ten characters I’m about to list now are the ones broken enough to reach the top, to conquer the game colonies themselves using a technique, a heavenly restriction, or pure, overwhelming, cursed energy. No-brainer picks like an unsealed Gojo, the King of Curses, Sukuna, and the pseudo game-master, Kenjaku, will be ignored for this list. It makes things more interesting.

Kinji Hakari can be considered the deadpool of Jujutsu Kaisen, disregarding Jujutsu traditions, and pioneering an underground Fight Club to monetize sorcerers and satisfy his hunger for “fever.” Unlike Yuji Itadori’s cog mindset of exorcising cursed simply to fulfill a given role, any alliances Hakari makes ultimately benefit himself and his values. Characterization aside, Hakari would be a champion contender in the Culling Games for his domain expansion: Idle Death Gamble.

Hakari’s Domain creates a gambling-themed train station, where the main function is to land a 1/239 jackpot. When he does, he’s awarded infinite cursed energy that automatically heals his body and reinforced his physical attacks. This automatic CE mechanic defeated Kashimo during their fight in the Tokyo No.2 Colony and kept Sukuna’s Lackey, Uruame, locked in a stalemate with him during the Sukuna Gauntlet in the Shinjuku Showdown arc. Most of the players presented in the Culling Games Arc don’t have reverse cursed energy or a limitless supply that can last a long time. Put together with his already serrated supply of cursed energy, Hakari would beat a majority of the competition to submission or outlast them in a fight of attrition. I do think when it comes to the others on the list though, his Private Pure Love Train montage wouldn’t be able to help him.

#9:Takako Uro and her Thin Ice Breaker

Takako Uro is a Heian-era sorcerer. One of the contracted sorcerers to enter the Culling Games via Kenjaku’s Idle Transfiguration of Japan. She, Ryu Ishigori and Yuta Okkotsu did a free-for-all showdown in the Sendai Colony, keeping each other contested. Takako Uro’s moderately high score in the Culling Games was self-explanatory, given her innate ability to manipulate the sky.

The same way a child pulls a blanket over their heads in bed, Takako Uro can pull the atmosphere around her like a tangible surface. With this, Takako can distort the direction of her enemy’s attacks by wrapping herself around the attack. She’s also been able to distort the bodies of others, as seen when she elongated Yuta’s right arm to sneak an elbow to the face. Her signature move, Thin Ice Breaker, unleashes a shockwave against those unfortunate to be targeted by it. Then, there is her unknown domain, which is crowned as the pinnacle of Jujutsu.

Takako Uro is a highly versatile, lethal competitor. Her talent at sky manipulation makes the space around her a plaything–an advantage that most sorcerers aren’t equipped to handle. Her mobility, spatial control, and Heian-level experience would make her a predator in any colony she chose.

#8: Fumihiko Takaba would make Culling Games a literal Game.

Ahh…the unfunny comedian Takaba. Prior to this arc, this 35-year old man would be met with deafening silences in whatever open-mic theatre he performed at. Now, he’s a pro-violence comedian hiding his comedically high strength level behind cringeworthy jokes and a ridiculous costume.

Let’s start with Takaba’s innate technique: It’s creative mode in Minecraft. As long as something is funny in his mind, he can write it into reality and force others to play roles in his imaginary gags. It affected Kenjaku and the environment he was in, making him play a nurse, then his on-stage partner in a comedy routine. Any curses Kenjaku threw at him did no damage. It was even stated that Takaba’s technique was influential enough to rival to oppose Satoru Gojo.

If Takaba were cognizant of his strength and more psychotic a person, I wager he would’ve been a calamity in the Culling Games. No sorcerer training, not even any knowledge on martial arts, yet he was suppressing Reggie Star’s group in the No.1 Tokyo colony and could completely override a Heian sorcerer’s techniques and capabilities. In a game defined by chaos, Takaba is the ultimate wildcard: a man whose jokes can kill you before you realize the punchline.

#7. The Vengeful Speed Demon of the Sakurajima Colony-Naoya Zenin

Reborn through pure hatred, Naoya Zen’in returns in the Sakurajima Colony as a cursed spirit whose power far eclipses his human form. Retaining Projection Sorcery, Naoya can now apply the technique with frightening efficiency thanks to his cursed‑spirit physiology — gaining flight, sharper frame control, and an “Acceleration Mode” that lets him stack frames and move at Mach‑level speeds. Just in case, you aren’t familiar with what Mach 3 stands for, it’s 2300 Mph, three times the speed of sound.

His Domain Expansion, Time Cell Moon Palace, pushes this even further: anyone he touches is forced into the 24‑FPS rule, and breaking that rule causes damage at the cellular level. If the cells in your arm are still moving during that time you’re frozen in frame, you could lose that arm or cause it to bleed from the inside. Combined with his blistering speed and aerial mobility, Naoya unquestionally could handle colonies on his own. He could take out entries on this list, moving too fast for Uro to use her sky manipulation, moving faster than Takaba’s imagination, moving faster than Hakari’s jackpot activation.

It took an anomaly to exercise him. A being who’s existence denied jujutsu and could not be detected in his domain due to total lack of cursed energy. Speaking of which…

#6: Maki Zenin–Toji 2.0

Maki’s goal since season 1 was to grow strong to dismantle the Zen’in clan–to make it a hospitable place for her sister, Mai Zenin. In episode 51 of the series, Maki gets the strength she desired at the cost of the person she was fighting for. What you get out of that? A reincarnation of Toji Fushiguro, whom could dispatch two special grade sorcerers in a unregisted disaster grade curse in their own domain expansion.

Maki doesn’t have cursed energy, a technique or a domain. She doesn’t need it. Her physical prowess is enough. She slaughtered the Kukuru of her clan in one fell swoop with just a cursed tool. She evaded Chojuro Zenin earth hands and endured through Ranta Zenin’s paralyzing gaze technique. Because of her lack of cursed energy, she can literally leave and enter domains when she pleases.

Maki’s presence in the Culling Games isn’t defined by technique or CE output — it’s defined by inevitability. Once she shed the limitations of her old self, she became a walking extinction event for anyone relying on sorcery to survive. The Zen’in Clan’s strongest assassins, the Four Hei, couldn’t restrain her. Naoya Zen’in’s reincarnated hatred couldn’t stop her. And no Domain, no technique, no CE gimmick can compensate for the simple fact that Maki fights on rules the rest of the Jujutsu world isn’t built to handle. In a tournament full of monsters, she’s the one who doesn’t need anything but her body to win.
